1 year Anniversary of Awful Lotta Birmingham Deluxe 🐂

2 years ago, someone said to me ‘Mayday if you didn’t make ALB, I don’t know what Birmingham Grime would look like’. Safe to say I’ve done, did and do my part so the city’s being represented correctly and is in safe hands for the next decade.

Now, 3 letters travel up and down the country and across continents. I really united the new Grime generation in the city just off of ‘if we work together we go further faster’.

I’ve done everything from throwing my first event and doing it 2 more times after that, to an ALB grime set with live band. Thrown up stickers and posters and sent merch around the world. There’s a documentary in the works to cover the story of the last 3 years. Tried things and proved points. Sacrificed so others can be platformed and go first. I’m not gonna outline everything because it would be to long but it’s an awful lotta work 😂

The scoreboard doesn’t lie and history is written by the victors who document the work.

Can’t thank everyone in a small collection of photos and videos but if you came outside, supported, streamed, bought, got involved, DJ, Artist, producer, engineer, photographer, videographer, helped, loved and everything inbetween, thanks, it’s been a fun time.

I just created what I wanted and over time people saw the vision.

ALB isn’t a run, it’s the standard.
