Flowdan's 2023 has been insane

2023: The Year of Flowdan

The Roll Deep OG, Spentshell Founder, who has his acapella on everyones UKG riddim has had an insane 2023.

Flowdan’s distinct voice has rung out around the globe over the last 2 decades but this year has been crazy.

The guy is a testament to believing in yourself, playing the long game, being authentic and consistently turning up.

July 2022 saw Fred Again’s Boiler Room tease the gamechanger (56:06). (Rumble was made FIVE years ago btw)

4 days into the New Year and he, Skrillex and Fred Again.. turned the world over by finally dropping ‘Rumble’. 100 million streams in less than a year and he was just getting warmed up.

Then appearing on ‘Hydrate’, you could see the Skrillex x Flowdan formula again at work, a reoccurring theme for the year. This was the start of a slew of singles, Flowdan’s voice emitting from all sound systems.

Summertime rolls around and everyone is posting their UK-Garage-with-a-Flowdan-vocal edits, meanwhile, Chase & Status + Bou enlisted him for a huge lineup for Baddadan.

Seemed as if you had a riddim, Flowdan was going to be on it. He was everywhere!

BOOM, Skrillex calls in Flowdan and goes back to back with ‘Badders’ and ‘Pepper ft Lil Baby to’. Lil Baby is on a track with Flowdan.

The Grime veteran wasn’t slowing down, even with all the successes this year.

SURPRISE! Flowdan and Lil Baby open up the Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou boxing match with Pepper and Flowdan was moving like some militant drill sargent. RIGHT SIDE, LEFT SIDE.

World stage being commanded by MR SANDMANNNN

Grime was being represented to the world, Flowdan personifies the sound and exported it globally.

He then took that up another level when just recently, ‘Rumble’ was nominated for a Grammy award.

Roll Deep Flowdan, Mr Sandman Flowdan, Big Mic Man Flowdan, a Grammy nominee.

HE DID ALL THIS IN A YEAR

20+ years later and Flowdan just hit another new peak, if that isn’t a sign for you to keep working on whatever you’re working on, then I don’t know what it is.
